Forecasters warn about high country avalanche hazard

(MISSOULA)- The Forest Service issued a rare regionwide avalanche warning on Friday, tellings skiers, snowboarders and snowmobilers to stay off steep, open slopes in the high country outside established ski areas.

The agency says a combination of changing temperatures in recent weeks, coupled with heavy amount of new snow has lead to "moderate" to "considerable" avalanche danger in most areas. Two snowmomilers were killed in slides just this week.

Here's the complete rundown.
